Norsk Urskog is a volunteer based project aiming to support and promote young Norwegian underground bands within the metal genre. We achieve this via the website, social media and a CD sampler which we distribute at the Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo, Norway - and possibly at other festivals where Inferno is present.

The main goal is to showcase the participating bands to an international audience, fans and professionals alike. We want to give the lesser known bands in the Norwegian scene an opportunity to be noticed, heard and seen. Through the Inferno Metal Festival we reach a wide variety of fans, promoters and people in the business, and we hope we can help them to discover new favorites from all over Norway.

Through the collaboration with the Inferno Festival we also stage a concert where we present a select bands from the release to a live audience.

The volunteers behind the project are handling the logistic aspects such as CD creation, printing, covers, dialogues with various entities, website, promos, etc.
