Another episode of Norsk Urskog as a radio show was aired as part of Symphonium on September 21, 2025.In this episode presented new releases and old stuff from a few Norwegian bands, but also took a trip outside to check what's going on in the underground elsewhere.

The segment was originally aired on September 21, 2025 1t 6:00 CEST, with several reruns the following weeks.

Uaar - Galgeås

«Galgeås» was the first single from the new album «Galger og Brann» from Norwegian punk/hardcore band Uaar. The single was released on August 29, and the album on October 17 on the Fysisk Format underground label.

Kal-El - Dilithiom

Kal-El plays a groovy, psychedelic space doom, and has made a decent name for themselves over the years. Their latest release Astral Voyager Vol I has been available on vinyl for a while, but now also online.

Desspo - Ozone

Desspo is sadly no longer active, but was a great thrash metal band from the south west corner of Norway. A couple of the members went on to form Kal-El, so I thought that was a great opportunity to get a bit reacquainted with the band.

The track «Ozone» is from their last release, «Neon» from 2006.

Desspo used to have a website at https://desspo.com, but it seems sadly to have been taken down after this show went on the air.

The True Rat Lord - In Conspiracy with Spraytan

The True Rat Lord is a Grindcore/Powerviolence band from Bergen. I don't know much about them, but it's hard hitting grindcore which kicks a bit upward to the black metal scene. As can be seen in the song title of this track «In Conspiracy with Spraytan» from their 2022 release «This In Not a Record».

Poison Void - Realm of the Dead

Poison Void is a relatively new old-school death metal band from Singapore. I came accross them from an interview published by Nihilistic Distro.

From their 2024 release «Call of the Void», we played the opening track «Realm of the Dead».
