Norsk Urskog is back!
We're back, but in a different form than before.
For those who don't know, Norsk Urskog started as a project to promote underground metal bands from Norway at the Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo. We did this by producing a compilation CD which was funded by the bands themselved. This worked well for many years, but the world has moved on, and with less interest for physical CDs the project was eventually laid dormant.
A selection of the CD's we released, cover designs by Trine + Kim Design Studio, and photos by Marta Løvberg, except for the first edition that we did ourselves.
While we have sporadically been posting about underground bands and releases on our social web channel, the project has essentially been in hiatus since 2019. It's time to change that, but pressing CDs is a thing of the past.
Instead we will continue our sporadic postings about bands, releases and other interesting news from the Norwegian underground scene both here on these web pages, as well as the social web.
In addition, we have started a cooperation with Symphonium metal radio here in Norway, where we will present underground bands both from Norway and abroad that we find interesting.
We hope that you will follow us, and find some new bands to follow and support! The underground is alive, and thriving as ever before!
