In this episode we visited recent and coming releases from Manifest, Forcefed Horsehead and Shaving the Werewolf. We also found a vinyl at a local record shop when traveling, and got to know the Iranian grindcore/warpunk band Aneraxt.

Norsk Urskog Episode 3 - this Sunday

Norsk Urskog will again appear as an installment on the Symphonium radio show on Sunday January 25, as well as on the Headache show on February 1. We will present a selection of new and not so new Norwegian Underground rock and metal, as well as some foreign bands we think is worth checking out.

Harald visited the Symphonium radio show on August 17, 2025, and presented a small selection of Norwegian underground bands. He even included a few cool bands from outside of Norway, and that's something we will continue to do in these broadcasts. The underground is, and has always, been international.

Norsk Urskog is back!

We're back, but in a different form than before.

For those who don't know, Norsk Urskog started as a project to promote underground metal bands from Norway at the Inferno Metal Festival in Oslo. We did this by producing a compilation CD which was funded by the bands themselved. This worked well for many years, but the world has moved on, and with less interest for physical CDs the project was eventually laid dormant.

Norsk Urskog is a volunteer based project aiming to support and promote Norwegian underground bands within the genres metal, punk and rock. Our goal is to showcase lesser known bands to a wider audience, giving the quality underground music a chance to be heard and hopefully find new fans.
